Alejandro Zaero-Polo to Niall Hobhouse on FOA project team
Saturday, April 9th, 2005We have talked to some of our guys and we have now some people who could take care of the project. Our favorite candidate is in Barcelona now and can not come to work in London, and prefers not to start the project until the summer. Although Lluis is a very capable and independent architect and we have full trust in him, we are not sure whether that is finally a good option; maybe is better to go for someone who can work here in the office. We would like to have a more direct involvement on it. There are other collaborators that are now involved in teaching elsewhere and can not come until July, and that would make available a broader range of collaborators… Everybody we talked with was very excited about the profile of the project and willing to engage in it. We have two other former collaborators that will also be really good and are ready to move back to London to start the project. Everybody needs a month notice to clear up things wherever they are and move to our office to start the project. As soon as you give us the go ahead we can start booking them. We need to make a firm schedule, fee scale etc… and we can run. Provisionally we have told them their engagement in the first phase will be for three months. It very much depends on you making the appointments etc… I think it would be very good to get an expert team involved at least on an hourly rate to give our guys precise technical feedback to be integrated as another parameter within the construction of the project. I still have a meeting with you in my agenda for next Thursday. Should we keep it or should we wait until you meet your team?
